The SK Dance Academy was established in September 2012, and we invite you to join us as students to The Academy. We already have some friendly faces with us and now we would like you to participate in the warm and welcoming dance environment that we provide to join in the fun and try something different.
As Principal of the Dance Academy I aim to give people dance classes that are fun and exciting. This will give those students life skills such as confidence and motivation to name a few. Young adults have the opportunity in developing their training and gain the experience that is needed to further enhance their dance career.
Adults who do not want to dance as a career are welcome to join in any class of their choice. Adult tap is available for those who wish to come back and refresh their tap after not having done it for many years, or for those who have always wanted to do tap and have never had the opportunity, now is your chance!
Dance should be a part of everyone’s life no matter of age, ability or disability and this is why we invite everyone to The Dance Academy to get the experience and training that they wish and to gain the most important element ‘fun’. Students of The SK Dance Academy will be given lots of different opportunities; some of these include being involved in shows, being entered for dance examinations with the ISTD and much more.
Sarah is a fully qualified ISTD Dance Teacher, Musical Theatre (Singing) & Drama Teacher with LAMDA, a license holder of the Melody Movement Syllabus (Ballet Tots) and is a fully qualified Zumba Instructor.
If you like making new friends, want to build your confidence or would just like an extra activity to do, why not try dance? There are a variety of classes available to suit both boys and girls commencing with the 1 year olds parent and toddler class, developing throughout childhood into adult classes. My Daughter Autumn has recently started attending the acro class here at The SK Dance Academy and she absolutely loves it! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and made her instantly feel comfortable and included. She looks forward to coming to class every week and wishes it was every day! My daughter has been attending the Ballet, Tap & Modern with SK Dance for around 2 years. She loves attending and it has done wonders for her confidence, so much so she was able to perform as part of the 10 year anniversary show last year. It was such a pleasure for us to be able to see her dance in front of hundreds of people. My daughter loved this experience and felt inspired to explore other styles of dance and has since begun Acro. She is so enthusiastic about her dancing and spends hours at home practicing.
Having attended other dance schools prior to SK Dance, my daughter particularly likes this one as do I because they have come to know my daughter as more than just a number/student. I would definitely recommend SK Dance and have done so to my friends and colleagues for their children.

My daughter started ballet classes at the age of 2 and has never looked back, she is now nearly 7 and not only does ballet, tap, modern but also Acro. She has shown her skills in shows in front of hundreds of people and also undertaken numerous exams which she has passed with the help of the teachers. I am so pleased we changed to SK dance. My daughter loves attending her dance class. She has gained so much confidence in her own abilities from the support and encouragement of the staff. Classes are taught in such a fun way, always celebrating events with the children such as Halloween, Christmas etc which they love! We are so proud of her for taking part in recent show and love that she has so much fun with friends 💗

My daughter has been attending for the last 5 years and loves the dance sessions. She has enjoyed taking part in annual shows and attending the Christmas parties (pre pandemic).
